Just treated yourself to a new tire and wheel package?
We totally get the excitement!
Why not complete your purchase with tire mounting on your wheels and nitrogen inflation?
Admit it, that would be the cherry on top!
Mounting and Balancing
Mounting and balancing go hand in hand: one doesn’t go without the other!
What’s balancing for? It makes sure the centre of gravity is exactly in the middle of the wheel. That’s why small weights are added to the rim during the tire mounting process, to correct any imbalance.
With that done, your new tire and wheel package will be ready to install directly at home as soon as you receive it!
Nitrogen Inflation
Inflating your tires with nitrogen is a pretty smart move!
Nitrogen is a stable gas that doesn’t react as much to the temperature swings we know all too well. It helps keep tire pressure stable and prevents tires from being overinflated when it’s hot, or underinflated when it’s cold.
Try it once, and you might just stick with it!
FAQ
Mounting and balancing are only available when you purchase tires and compatible wheels together as a complete tire and wheel package. Since the tires need to be installed directly onto the wheels before balancing can be performed, this service cannot be added to an order that includes tires only. If you already own wheels, a local garage or tire shop will be able to mount and balance your new tires once they arrive.
Tire mounting is the process of installing a tire onto a wheel. Wheel balancing is performed afterward to make sure the weight is distributed evenly around the complete tire and wheel assembly. Small balancing weights are added to the wheel when needed. Proper balancing helps reduce steering wheel vibrations, improves driving comfort and promotes more even tire wear.
Yes. When you add mounting and balancing to your order, your tires are installed on the selected wheels and each assembly is balanced before shipping. This helps correct weight distribution around the wheel and reduces the risk of vibrations while driving. Your tire and wheel package will arrive assembled and ready to be installed on your vehicle, provided that no additional vehicle-specific work is required, such as TPMS programming or other adjustments.
Nitrogen inflation helps maintain more stable tire pressure by reducing the impact of temperature fluctuations. This can be particularly beneficial in Canada, where seasonal and daily temperature changes can be significant. Proper tire pressure contributes to more even tire wear, improved fuel efficiency and optimal vehicle handling. While regular compressed air remains a suitable option, many drivers choose nitrogen inflation for the added convenience of more consistent tire pressure over time. Regular tire pressure checks are still recommended to ensure the best performance from your tires.
It may be possible to add these services after your order has been placed, but only if the order has not yet entered the preparation or shipping process. For the simplest and fastest experience, we recommend selecting mounting, balancing and nitrogen inflation while building your tire and wheel package online. Once the order is already being processed, these services may no longer be available. For the smoothest experience, it’s best to add them directly when creating your tire and wheel set.
